Cookie Policy

What we store on your device, and how to opt out.

Effective date: 14 October 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that hold slightly larger values without sending them with every request. This policy covers all of them on jamcontent.com, app.jamcontent.com and the Jam desktop app, and forms part of our Privacy Policy.

2. The kinds of cookies we use

We keep cookies to a minimum. They fall into four groups:

  • Strictly necessary. Set by Jam and our hosting provider to sign you in, keep you signed in, protect share links and approval links, and defend sign-in forms against bots. The app cannot work without these, so they are not optional.
  • Preferences. Settings the Jam app keeps in your browser so it opens the way you left it, such as your last view, a collapsed sidebar or an upload in progress. These hold no tracking identifiers and are never sent to anyone else.
  • Analytics. Used on jamcontent.com and the Jam app only, to count visits and page views so we can see what is used and fix what is slow or broken.
  • Marketing. Used on jamcontent.com and the Jam app only, to tell whether our advertising brought you to Jam and to remember which campaign you arrived from so a sign-up is credited correctly.

3. Who sets them

  • Jam. Sign-in sessions, share-link access, preferences and campaign attribution. Our own cookies are marked HttpOnly and Secure wherever the browser allows.
  • Vercel. Our hosting provider, for bot protection and routing, and for anonymous page view and performance measurement that does not set a cookie.
  • Google Analytics. Visit and page view counts, under Google's privacy policy.
  • Meta. The Meta Pixel, which measures visits and sign-ups that came from our ads on Facebook and Instagram, under Meta's privacy policy.

Necessary cookies last from the length of a visit up to about a month. Analytics and marketing cookies last between a few months and two years, depending on the provider. Analytics data we hold is retained for 24 months, then deleted.

4. How to opt out

You can opt out of the analytics and marketing cookies at any time:

  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends the Global Privacy Control signal, Jam loads no analytics or marketing tags at all. We treat the signal as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information. Brave, Firefox and DuckDuckGo support it natively.
  • Browser settings. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you signing in.
  • Google Analytics. Install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on to stop Google Analytics on every site, including ours.
  • Meta. Manage how Meta uses activity from other websites in your Facebook ad settings.
  • Ask us. Email privacy@jamcontent.com and we will record an opt-out against your account.

5. Galleries, forms, bio pages and embeds

Public galleries, upload forms, Link in Bio pages, shared calendars, shared analytics, review links and collections embedded on other websites are published by our customers for their own audiences. On those pages Jam sets no analytics or marketing cookies and loads no Google or Meta tags. The only things stored are what the page needs to work: access to a password-protected link, and on upload forms, details you typed so the next form from the same organisation is pre-filled and an interrupted upload can resume. Those form details stay on your device and can be cleared with the “Forget” link on the form.

If a customer embeds a Jam form or gallery on their own website, that website's cookie notice governs the page, and a form may load Google Maps (address fields), Google Fonts or a YouTube or Vimeo video if the customer added those blocks; those providers may set their own cookies.

6. Third-party content

Some pages load content from other companies that may set their own cookies under their own policies: the Google Calendar booking widget when you book a demo, Mux video players, and the Google Drive and Dropbox file pickers when you connect those services inside the app. We only load these when you use the page or feature that needs them.
